The Lucy Redman Garden Bed and Breakfast
Lucy and Dominic would like to welcome you to our idyllic plantsman's and country
lover's haven; a place to relax and unwind
Our thatched cottage is set in the quiet village of Rushbrooke; ten minutes drive from the historic town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Lucy
is a great plantswoman with a love for arts and crafts. Dominic is an organic farm advisor and also runs Metallurgi (www.metallurgi.co.uk)
creating woven metal turf tree seats, 'tuff' lawn edging, raised beds and fencing. We thought it would be nice to welcome visitors who are
keen to get away from it all and absorb themselves in the tranquility of our garden. Lucy is always delighted to show visitors around the
garden and for a small extra fee is happy to look at any photos you may have and suggest plants for a tricky border.
Guests are welcome to join one of our:
• Plant Indulgence Days and treat themselves to a guided tour
of a magnificent garden in the area such as The Beth Chatto
Gardens or The Old Vicarage Garden - see website for details.
• One Day Plantaholic course – see website for dates.
• Gardener’s Friday garden trail (see website), including
Langham Walled Garden and Wyken Vineyards, visit Bury St
Edmunds on Saturday and on Sunday visit the Anglo Saxon
settlement at West Stow then head next door to the tranquil 7
acre haven of Fullers Mill Garden created by the lovely Bernard
Tickner – a botanical treat to behold. Round it all off with a large
piece of yummy cake before you head back to reality!
